Owens Community College/Siena Heights University Dual Enrollment Sport Management Transfer Program

Are you thinking about a career in Sport Management?
Together, Owens Community College and Siena Heights University can get you there.

Owens and Siena Heights have teamed up to provide this unique opportunity for students interested in a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sport Management. Students begin the program at Owens and take fall and spring courses here for two years. During those two years, students take summer courses at Siena Heights. After graduation from Owens, students seamlessly transfer to Siena Heights to complete their bachelor's degree.

The collaborative Sport Management program has a strong business core, including classes in management, economics, marketing, organizational behavior, finance and law and ethics. Reflecting a strong commitment to liberal arts, students also receive a broad general education in humanities and fine arts, science, mathematics, social science and communications.

In addition to coursework, students will also complete two field experiences. These field experiences allow students to connect what they have learned in the classroom to the real world and begin developing their own professional networks.

Siena Heights students have completed internships with some of the following organizations:

  • Detroit Red Wings
  • Walt Disney World Wide World of Sports
  • Toledo Walleye Hockey
  • Michigan International Speedway
  • University of Tennessee Athletics
