Bodie finds it rewarding to work with and help students by improving their individual fitness level. Due to his experience as a personal trainer and strong personal fitness background, weight training, sports conditioning and fitness walking are his areas of expertise.
Bradford J. Bell
Brad has studied Martial arts for over 20 years. Despite being a retired MMA fighter, he has won 6 martial arts tournaments in the last 2 years. He is currently working on his Master's Degree at Spring Arbor University. Brad believes fitness and self-improvement should be a way of life and he enjoys bringing this philosophy to the students at Owens.
Paul came to the U.S. in 1976 to pursue American education and to introduce the Eastern traditional martial arts to Americans. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communication, and a Master’s degree in Human Services. He is a certified 7th degree black belt. The purpose of sharing over 30 years of his training and education with the students of Owens is to enrich their lives physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Patrick helped develop the cycling course that is currently offered here at Owens and has been teaching it since 2010. He has been cycling throughout the state for the past 15 years and enjoys being able to use the knowledge that he has gained on the road to help the students get excited about the sport and use biking as one aspect to a healthy lifestyle.
Matt is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well is certified in TRX, Spinning and Rowing.
Lynette C. Glorioso
The union of spirit, mind and body are not just a personal pursuit of Lynette but a personal mission as she desires to help others in their journey. Motivation, encouragement and proper alignment is her goal when instructing yoga, Pilates, spinning, or any Group Exercise class.
Russell is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. He has over 10 years of military service. "...Because of my military experience I valued that your body must always be ready for any physical challenge." He lives by this philosophy and used it to gain the knowledge and experience as fitness professional.

Gordon F. LaPointe
Gordon LaPointe graduated from Bowling Green State University. His current certifications are: personal trainer, TRX, Concept 2 Rowing, and MAD DOGG Athletics Spinning. One of his passions is to help people gain the necessary knowledge to help them reach their professional and wellness goals. Gordon is a firm believer that hard work and dedication pays off. Amy Pauken is a Beginning Pilates Instructor on the Toledo Campus. She has a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Management and also holds certifications in Piyo, Hip Hop Hustle, CoreCamp and Prenatal Fitness through AFAA. She currently teaches in the community and has taught all ages from children to Senior Adults. Pilates and Yoga are right up there with her favorite hobbies. She enjoys good health and loves to help others!
Jessica M. Priehs
Jessica Priehs holds a M.Ed. in Sport Administration and Facility Management, and a B.S. in Dance Education with an emphasis in Kinesiology. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 RYT) through Yoga Alliance.
Sandra Valuck, RN MSN Professor
Sandra has been working in the Health Care Field for 40 years and is currently teaching Mental Health Nursing. She developed the Personal Wellness Course in 2003 and has been teaching it since that time. She has a personal interest in wellness and feels this is the answer to many of the health care problems today. She is focused on a healthy lifestyle and continues to enjoy running and other healthy activities. She tries to be a good role model for her students, children and patients in the health care field. She believes this is a critical component of any educational program.
Debra S. Widman
Deb has been teaching Zumba for 4 1/2 years and loves seeing people of all ages enjoying themselves and forgetting it is a workout! She received her first certification in May 2008 and another in November 2011. In addition, she became certified to teach TRX Suspension Training in September 2011. This system is intense and a great total body workout. She loves working with all ages and that can be seen when she teaches her kids, adult and senior classes. She is a devoted wife and mother to her three sons and enjoys doting on her beautiful granddaughter.
Jami L. Williamson
Jami holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Toledo and a Master of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from Eastern Michigan University. She is a NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Mad Dogg Athletics Certified Spinning Instructor, Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Instructor, PHI mat Pilates instructor, as well as Zumba and TRX trained. She has worked with all ages in the educational, fitness, training and rehab settings. Fitness is her passion and she tries to teach by example…..she is always moving!
Kevin E. Williamson
Kevin Williamson is the Tennis Instructor for Owens Community College. He has been teaching for 16 years and loves what he does. He is USPTA certified with a total of 24 years teaching experience. His passion is teaching this great game of tennis to new people and showing them a fun new way to stay in shape for life. Tennis for the fit of It!
