Most general education courses are offered fall, spring and summer semesters, during the day or evening with some classes also offered on the weekend. All HIT students are required to have a history and physical examination completed prior to their first professional practice experience. Students are responsible for any fees inccured as a result of completing the required health form and immunizations.

Facilities & Equipment
Owens Community College students offers students state-of-the-art equipment and facilities including a dedicated Health Information Technology laboratory, housed in Health Technologies Building with 25 computers that connect to the campus network. The new $3.5 million Math-Science building features science laboratories, cold storage facilities and high-tech classrooms. In addition, facilities, organizations, or agencies related to healthcare in Toledo and surrounding areas foster the teaching and learning process.
