The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Programs prepare students for supervisory positions within the hospitality industry. The program's philosophy integrates three important elements: a strong academic background to develop the student's intellectual awareness, specialized business and hospitality courses to prepare students for all areas of industry employment and practical on-the-job training to allow the student to become fully involved in their chosen field.

The hospitality industry is the national second largest employer and opportunities continue to increase. The restaurant industry employs 12.2 million people and the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts and employment growth rate of 10-20% through 2012.

The Hospitality Management Program provides students with the skills to successfully qualify for hospitality management and supervisory positions in:

  • country clubs
  • fitness centers/camps
  • hospitals
  • extended care facilities
  • sports/special events

The skills acquired through the Culinary Arts Program and Culinary Arts Certificate provides students with the resources and abilities to successfully qualify for positions in:
