Massage Therapy Technology

Faculty and Staff

The MT program faculty is active in local and state organizations that promote the profession of massage therapy. The faculty is knowledgeable in all aspects of the profession and will provide academic counseling and job placement information.

Michelle Aman, BS, LMT
is the Coordinator for the Massage Therapy Program. Ms. Aman received a massage therapy certificate from Stautzenberger College and is a Licensed Massage Therapists in Ohio. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Health/Wellness from the University of Toledo. Michelle currently serves as Secretary for the Ohio Council of Massage Therapy Schools and is pursuing a degree in Herbal Medicine. Michelle has Contact information: (567) 661-7444 or

In addition to the full-time faculty the MT program is proud of an outstanding group of part-time faculty. The part-time faculty consists of community therapists. They currently include:

Tanya Johnson, LMT is an adjunct faculty member of Structural Integration and a clinical lab instructor. Tanya graduated from Owens massage therapy program and is currently pursuing a B.S. Tanya works as an LMT and has been licensed since June 2010.

Michelle Rader, LMT completed her massage therapy degree from Stautzenberger College in 2004. In addition, Michelle attended the Oncology Massage Healing Summit at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio in 2007.

April Vermilyea- Nykodym, LMT is a clinical lab instructor at Owens. She is an independent business owner and has practicing her passion for massage therapy for 3.5 years. April graduated from Owens massage therapy program in 2009 and obtained an Associate degree in applied science in 2011.
