Surgical Program

Selective Admissions Criteria

To be evaluated for admission into the surgical program, you must have a completed file in the Records office. Deadlines are published annually. Students cannot begin clinical course work within the program until they are accepted in that program. Prior to acceptance into the clinical coursework, most students complete coursework required for Arts and Science electives in the program.

A complete file includes: an application, high school/GED and college transcripts, ACT scores, and evidence of high school algebra and chemistry with a "C" grade or better. Following acceptance into the Surgical Program the candidate must maintain a 2.0 GPA and schedule a conference with the coordinator of the program. Classes begin each fall semester only. Surgical accepts a maximum of 24 students per class.
