This program is designed to prepare highly competent Occupational Therapy Assistants for service delivery in school systems, mental health centers, community agencies, nursing homes, hospitals, home health agencies and private practice. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant carries out a treatment program to facilitate maximum life satisfaction and independent functioning for people of all ages. An Occupational Therapy Assistant can treat individuals with possible mental, physical, emotional or developmental disabilities.
