2019 Outstanding Service Award Nomination


The Owens Community College Alumni Association recognizes the tremendous contribution that police, fire and emergency medical professionals make to our communities. Their daily role in public service makes our lives safer. To celebrate their accomplishments, the Alumni Association established the Outstanding Service Awards.

We invite you to nominate an individual OR a team of individuals who demonstrate exceptional service – above and beyond the call of duty in calendar year 2018. Please provide each nominee’s home zip code +4, used to provide additional commendations for Awardees.

Outstanding Service Award Nomination Categories

Police/Law Enforcement Officer
Criteria: Dedicated, responsible, professional behavior, ingenuity, bravery, special skills or assistance above and beyond the call of duty.

Firefighter
Criteria: Dedicated, responsible, professional behavior, ingenuity, bravery, special skills or assistance above and beyond the call of duty.

Emergency Medical Technician
Criteria: Dedicated, responsible, professional behavior, ingenuity, bravery, special skills or insight in the EMS environment. Eligibility: Certified EMT

Service to Community – Law Enforcement, Firefighter, Certified EMT – Demonstrated over a sustained, long-term period of time.
Criteria: Sustained, long-term contribution to community, dedication, self-motivation, leadership, creativity, service surpasses what is ordinarily expected of socially responsible citizens.

Community Spirit – Private Citizen – Demonstrated over a sustained, long-term period of time.
Criteria: Sustained, long-term dedication, leadership and contribution to community safety and crime prevention in collaboration with public service professionals; service surpasses what is ordinarily expected of socially responsible citizens.
