In April 2004, Owens Community College celebrated over three decades of providing educational training for Northwest Ohio's safety forces by breaking ground for a new $10 million Fire and Police Training Center for Homeland Security. The Center, located on a 110-acre parcel at the convergence of Tracy and Walbridge roads, will feature state-of-the-art training simulators for emergency preparedness and first responders.
