High School Equivalency Classes

Did you know that close to 40,000 people aged 18 to 64 without a high school credential in Lucas County alone? Earning a High Equivalency Certificate (HSE) can:

  • increase earning potential
  • provide an opportunity for advancing in current jobs
  • open job opportunities
  • lead to enrollment in post-secondary education (College or Trade School)

Owens Aspire hosts 16 tuition-free classes in Lucas, Wood and Hancock Counties, where students will learn basic skills needed to take a state-recognized HSE test. Students will also gain career readiness skills that will build skills that will help them function in the post-secondary and in the workforce. Our twice-a-week classes are presented in multiple formats (remote and in-person) on different days and times to fit your schedule.

First, please review our Site Schedule to select your class day and time. Next, complete and submit the Student Registration forms. After receiving your documents, someone from our office will contact you within 7-10 business days to schedule you for an orientation for an upcoming class, or you can call to expedite the process.
