CIM 202 - Abstracting Prin & Prac II
Application of the principles of cancer registry abstracting. Assessment of pertinent clinical site-specific information regarding cancer diagnosis, extent of disease and treatment will be identified, coded and recorded utilizing the accepted standards of data collection. Medical record layout and sources of clinical information reviewed. Quality assessment and control mechanisms of abstracted data are reviewed to assess timeliness, accuracy and completeness of data collection.
Co-requisite: CIM 225, CIM 250, CIM 275
Prerequisite: CIM 201, Associate Degree, CIM 100, CIM 125, CIM 150 and CIM 201 Advanced Certificate
