DMS 108 - General Ultrasound III
Emphasizes sonographic protocols, anatomy and physiology of the pediatric patient to include the pylorus, hips, neonatal neurosonography, spine, abdominal and pelvic organs. Discusses vascular anatomy and applications of Doppler/color imaging along with hemodynamics as it pertains to each topic. Includes correlation of pertinent history/assessment, laboratory tests, including other imaging modalities, as well as interpersonal relationships of the imaging department and patient management. Achieves didactic objectives through use of texts, images, supplemental reading materials, lecture, class discussion, and the Internet.
