EMM 270 - Emergency Medical Technician-B
Prepares the student to serve as a certified Emergency Medical Technician at the basic level. This is a required course for students pursuing a career as a full-time, paid, government firefighter or a career in a public or private emergency medical services agency. Students who successfully complete the classroom and practical components of the course and meet the national certification prerequisites may take the national examination. Successful passing of the national exam will certify the student to function in the pre-hospital care of the sick and injured at EMT-B level. Must have a current American Heart Association health care provider CPR card.
