ENV 121 - OSHA 40 Hour HazWOpER
To perform work on a hazardous materials site, the employee must have completed 40 hours of hazardous materials training as defined by 29 CFR 1910.120. This course uses the National Institute of Environmental Health and Safety curriculum and prepares students to work safely at these hazardous materials sites. Covers issues such as confined spaces, decontamination, PPE and drum handling. Due to the hands-on nature of this course, students will apply their knowledge of chemistry in real-life problem-solving scenarios. Students receive a certificate of completion necessary to work at hazardous materials sites. Be prepared to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and be involved in a true-to-life hazardous materials scenario.
