HIT 237 - Health Care Information System
A comprehensive review of the electronic health record and its applications in Health Information Management. A review of hardware components, systems architectures, operating systems, and software packages and tools, along with the use of the electronic health record are explored. Health Information Management processes with data, information and file structures, as well as data storage, retrieval, privacy and security are addressed.
Co-requisite: HIT 234 and HIT 243 and HIT 246 and HIT 248 and HIT 296
Prerequisite: HIT 223 and HIT 232 and HIT 235 and HIT 241 and HIT 242 and IST 132 all with a "C" or better
