IST 100 - Fundamentals of Computing
Covers the fundamental functions and operations of the computer. Topics include the impact of computers on society, basic Internet skills, using an operating system, file management, and basic word processing operations. Upon completion, students should be able to operate computers, access files, print documents and perform basic computer operations. Knowledge of keyboarding is recommended. Serves as general computer core information competency for many degree programs. Proficiency test may be scheduled by calling the Testing Center.
