JPN 111 - Beginning Japanese I
Introduction to the language and cultures of the Japanese- speaking world. Development of elementary communicative skills with a balanced emphasis on listening, speaking, reading (Hiragana), and writing (Hiragana). Presentation of materials to encourage appropriate cross-cultural responses. Laboratory work may be required. (Arts and Humanities elective).
