MTH 096 - Intermediate Algebra
Equips students with competency in algebra. This course provides a study of factoring, rational equations along with applications, equations and inequalities with absolute value, a study of radicals, rational exponents, radical equations, the solution of quadratic equations by factoring and by the Quadratic Formula, an introduction to functions and the graphs of quadratic functions. Applications are emphasized throughout the course. (Not for graduation credit).
Co-requisite: NONE
Prerequisite: MTH 091 with a C or higher or ACT (test score 19-21) or ASSET (Elementary Algebra 41-55 and Intermediate Algebra 23-40) or COMPASS (Algebra score of 46-51) or MTH 091 Proficiency
