Student Email Update (11/13/2020)


As we head into the last few weeks of the semester, we must continue with the precautions in place, such as: required mask wearing on campus, social distancing, and frequent hand washing. Please continue to stay home when you are unwell, and monitor your health daily before coming to campus.

The College will continue with scheduled class delivery for the remainder of the Fall Semester. Classes are offered in a number of ways to best serve our students and community: face to face, hybrid, and online.

If a public health matter requires a change in campus operations, communication via Owens email and Owens alert systems will take place with as much advanced notice as possible. The communication will include information about what caused the change, what the change involves, and a time frame for further updates. As the upcoming holiday season approaches, please keep the health and safety of our campus community in mind, and our collective goal of a safe completion of Fall Semester for all faculty, staff and students as the priority. As a reminder, faculty, staff and students who will be traveling out of state, should review the Ohio Department of Health’s travel advisory page for the most up to date travel guidelines and restrictions.

The Class Schedule for Spring 2021 has been posted, and registration is underway. Spring 2021 Semester will offer face to face, traditional web based, synchronous (live but online), and hybrid (a mix of face to face and web) classes. Campus offices are open to serve students and guests at this time. It is always useful to check an individual office’s web page for the most up to date information on service delivery options, open hours and FAQs.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19, have symptoms, been contacted by the Health Department or have a positive case, please complete the College’s COVID-19 Case Notification form.
