Help spread the joy of reading by giving books a new home among early childhood and elementary-aged children. Donate new or gently used books for a Book Swap event from 4:30-7 p.m. on April 10 at the Owens Community College Toledo-area Campus Library.
Children’s books can be dropped off in select bins located in the Owens Library, Founders Hall, College Hall and Heritage Hall through Friday, April 4.
The Book Swap will coincide with the Little Kiddo Art Show at the Owens Library, during which you can drop off or take books for free. Both events are being held as part of the Week of the Young Child, a nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of early childhood education.
Creative Arts and Media will present the play “Antigone” on April 10-13 at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts. This modern adaptation of Sophocles’ classic will bridge the gap to modern audiences while investigating familial relationships, commitment to principles and questions regarding ethics and personal boundaries.

Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Owens Community College are partnering to provide a day full of fun and interprofessional education regarding assistive technology and remote supports. This event is FREE and open to the public.
The best student work produced in the Owens Visual Art Classes will be on display in the Student Art Show between April 11-May 9 in the Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery. The juried exhibition showcases the best student work produced in the Owens Visual Art Classes.
The opening reception will be Friday, April 11 between 6-8 p.m. The awards ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m.
This art exhibition is free and open to the public.
