We always welcome the opportunity to host a group of students on campus. Whether you are with a school, youth group, or community organization, we invite you to bring your group to campus to Explore Owens! The visit will include a 40 minute presentation and an hour walking campus tour. Owens can customize your group visit based on the academic area of your choice and can give your group the opportunity to meet faculty and/or students from individual Schools.
To ensure that you have the best visit possible, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
Please contact us at least two weeks prior to your visit. We will do our best to accommodate your date request; however, due to campus events and staffing limitations, we may need to consider alternate dates.
Campus tours are mainly conducted outside and include a considerable amount of walking. Please take this into account and advise your group to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.
Chaperones will be required to accompany school groups at all times during a visit.
Most group tours consist of a welcome/information session and then either a general campus tour or modified tour of a specific lab(s) or building. Group visits typically last for one hour and forty-minutes to two hours at the max.
Food Service is available on campus for individual students to purchase or for special catering requests. Your visit associate can assist your with your food requests at the time you schedule your visit.
Most tours are conducted by current Owens students.
