
Beth Genson
Artist in Residence
The Owens Community College Department of Fine and Performing Arts welcomes Beth Genson as the first Artist in Residence. Genson will be featuring her solo exhibit “The Heavens and Earth” and offering a variety of “The Art of Encaustic” classes to students, faculty, staff and the community during her time in residency.
Genson is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with degrees in Fine Art and Teaching. She recently completed an Advanced Teaching Encaustics course at R&F Paints in New York.

About Artist in Residence Program
This program brings to Owens Community College professional visual artists from across the nation. Each artist is featured in the Terhune Art Gallery during the summer months and given the opportunity to develop new artwork. The Center for Fine and Performing Arts will provide the facilities and tools for the artist in exchange, the artist will give instructional courses and educational programming for our students, faculty, staff and community.
