The BIG Read Faculty and Staff Resources

Using The BIG Read in your Classroom and/or Event

Using The BIG Read in your classrooms and events doesn’t mean it needs to be totally integrated into your classrooms/events.  Make it work for you by choosing your own BIG adventure.

In more detail:

BIG Adventure Users include activities such as discussion boards, class discussions, case studies, etc. that explore the book themes and encourage students to read the book and participate in events in their course(s).

BIG+ Adventure Users include activities such as discussion boards, class discussions, case studies, etc. that explore passages of the book and themes and encourage students to read the book and participate in events in their course(s).

Total BIG Users include activities such as discussion boards, class discussions, case studies, essays, etc. that explore the book and book themes, require students to read the book and integrate events into the course(s).

Below is information from workshops and other materials created to assist using The BIG Read in classrooms and events.
