Thomas Perin, Sr. , Associate Vice President
Tom Perin, Sr. is the Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and the college's Accreditation Liaison Officer. Mr. Perin is responsible for the organizational accreditation (AQIP) with The Higher Learning Commission and all program specific accreditations within the various schools. He also has responsibility for the assessment of student learning (SLAC) within the college. He facilitates the college's Shared Leadership Model through the AQIP Planning Council (APC) and Quality Council (QC). He is responsible for the college's Institutional Research and Strategic Planning efforts, and all quality related initiatives internal and external to the college.
Gregory Brown, Institutional Data Coordinator
Greg has a B.S. from Bowling Green State University with a major in Statistics and a minor in Computer Science. Following college, Greg joined Owens as a Computer Specialist in The Financial Aid Department. In 2001, he moved into the Information Technology Department and worked initially as a Programmer Analyst and later as a Computer Analyst. In Sept of 2007, he joined the Office of Institutional Research as the Institutional Data Coordinator. His areas of expertise include computer programming, data extraction and reporting.
Anne Fulkerson, Research Associate
Anne has a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Psychology from The University of Toledo. Prior to joining Owens in January of 2008, Anne was a Senior Research Associate in the Institutional Research Office at The University of Toledo and held a joint Research Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychology. She was Principal Investigator on a $170,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health to study language and cognitive development in infants and has several publications in scholarly journals. Her areas of expertise include research design, statistics, predictive modeling, assessment, retention, and survey research.
Debra Rathke, Research Associate
Debra has a M.S. and M.Ed. in Health Services Administration, a M.A. in Sociological Research, and a B.S. in Biology, all from the University of Toledo. Prior to joining Owens in August of 2002, Debra worked in various leadership positions in the healthcare industry. Areas for which she was responsible included: planning, market research, new program development, financial performance improvement, and project review. Debra's areas of expertise include research design, survey research, program and strategic planning, market analysis, and services administration.
Patricia Schumacher, Administrative Assistant
Patricia holds an Associate's Degree in Office Administration Technology from Owens Community College. She also holds an Applications Software Specialist certificate that she also earned from Owens. Patricia started her journey as a Student Worker here at Owens while attaining her degree. She provides administrative support to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness as well as to the AQIP Planning Council and the Quality Council.
