One Day Registration

One Day Registration is an opportunity for future students to complete multiple, necessary steps, during a one-day event.

During One Day Registration, you will complete your Placement Test, attend New Student Orientation, and participate in a group registration event. New Student Orientation is an opportunity for you to visit campus, talk with Owens staff, and learn about the offices that will aid you in your educational journey. At the end of NSO, you will have the opportunity to schedule your courses with the assistance of an Owens staff member.

  1. You must be present for the entire day.
  2. One Day Registration is for new students only, who have not yet taken a placement test or participated in New Student Orientation.
  3. If you do not need to participate in testing because you have provided Owens with your ACT or SAT scores (2 years or newer), or have already taken the Placement test at Owens, please click here to learn more about New Student Orientation.
  4. If you have attended a prior college and are transferring in credit to Owens, you must successfully transfer nine (9) credit hours to Owens to be exempt from orientation.
  5. If you have a disability and need accommodations or adaptions, please contact the Office of Disability Services at (567) 661-7007 to make arrangements prior to signing up for orientation.

Please note: after you register for courses, the NSO fee will be assessed to your student account. For more information on tuition and fees, click here.

You must complete, or have completed, an Owens Community College application for admission within the past year. If you are a new student, returning student who is applying for re-admission, or an international student, a $20 fee will be assessed for the completing the application. The fee will be charged to your student account once you register for classes. Your application will remain active for one semester. If you do not register for classes during that semester, you must re-apply in order to attend classes the next semester.
