Owens Lady Express Volleyball Player Honored as All-American

An Owens Community College women's volleyball team member has been named a First-Team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Lori Wolf, a Swanton High School graduate, is one of only 12 student-athletes selected nationwide for Division 3 women's volleyball teams.

Wolf was honored Wednesday evening in a special ceremony in Alumni Hall during the Owens Express/Lady Express basketball games.

"Lori was an outstanding player and leader for our team this year," Volleyball Head Coach Fred Aubuchon said. "We're all very proud of this honor for her."

The Lady Express were ranked No. 7 in the nation and took fifth place at the NJCAA national championships. They finished the season with an overall record of record of 28-20 and a conference record of 11-3, taking second place in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
