Mosser Construction Inc. Establishes Scholarship Endowment at Owens

Mosser Construction Inc. has announced the establishment of a $25,000 scholarship endowment with the Owens State Community College Foundation. Each year, the interest earned from the endowment will provide a scholarship for an Owens Community College student majoring in the Architectural Construction Engineering Technologies program.

"We are very honored by this generous act of Mosser Construction Inc. promoting education in our Architectural Construction program," Owens President Daniel H. Brown said. "This will further enable our students to pursue careers in this high-tech field."

The recipient of the scholarship must be a full-time Owens student and maintain a 3.0 grade point average.

The Mosser Construction Scholarships Endowment have been established by the Mosser corporate leaders in recognition of their 50th birthday celebration. They believe it is important to give these scholarship funds to encourage and recognize students exhibiting leadership in the construction field.

"Mosser Construction believes strongly in the value of education and we at Mosser are glad to be associated with Owens Community College," said Robert H. Moyer, P.E., Chairman of the Board. "We hope these scholarships will provide opportunities for future students entering the construction industry."

The Owens State Community College Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to Owens students through the generosity of businesses and individuals in the community. For more information on the Foundation and scholarships, call (567) 661-7114 or 1-800-GO-OWENS, Ext. 7114.
