Lady Express Basketball Player Signs with BGSU

  Liz Harris, a sophomore on the Owens Community College women's basketball team, has signed a letter of intent to play women's basketball at Bowling Green State University next fall.

  Harris led the Lady Express in scoring this season with an average of 14.9 points per game. She holds the College record for most steals in a career with 203. She was named the Lady Express Memorial Tournament MVP, All-Tournament Team for the Oakland CC Christmas Tournament, First Team All-OCCAC and Region 12 All-Region Team.

  During the '96-97 season, Harris was named All-Conference for the OCCAC (Ohio Community College Athletic Conference). She averaged 12.3 points per game, shooting a College record of 53.2 percent field goals from the floor.

  A Central Catholic High School graduate, Harris is the first Lady Express player ever to sign with BGSU.
