Owens Sponsors Hancock County College Night

More than 100 colleges and universities from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Pennsylvania will gather Monday, March 12 at Findlay High School for Hancock County College Night

High school students and their parents are invited to come and talk with college representatives from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

College representatives also will offer presentations from 6 to 8 p.m. on financial aid, planning for college, preparing for the ACT and college planning for students with disabilities and special needs.

In addition to the public and private colleges and universities present, several Hancock County banks will be available to provide information on student loans. Military branches also will be on hand to discuss admission to military academies, ROTC and other scholarship programs. Officials from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) also will be attending to answer athletic eligibility questions.

Hancock County College Night is sponsored by Owens Community College and the counseling staffs of eight local high schools. High school counselors also will be available to meet with students and parents in informal question and answer sessions.
