Perrysburg Resident Named Vice Chair by Board of Trustees

Your Success Starts Here Jack T. Sculfort of Perrysburg has been named vice chair to the Owens Community College Board of Trustees.

Serving a six year term on the Board beginning in 1996, Sculfort was selected by a unanimous Trustees' vote to serve as vice chair during their Tuesday meeting, June 19. He fills a position vacated by Patricia A. Wise, who became chair this month when then- chair, Wendell F. Fryer resigned. Fryer has moved out of the College's legal district.

Sculfort, founder and president of Transaction Opportunities, Inc., a corporate finance consulting firm, also will serve on a finance committee for the Board examining issues which will include state funding and new accounting requirements.

He earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Northwestern University Technological Institute in 1979. In 1983, Sculfort received a master's degree from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management in marketing, finance and management policy.

His community involvement includes membership on the Board of Trustees for the Josina Lott Residential and Community Services and Board of Directors for The Rotary Club of Perrysburg. He also has served as vice chairman of the executive committee for the Ohio Republican Party of Wood County.

Sculfort's term as a member of the Board of Trustees will end in 2002.
