Owens Community College Hosts "SuccessFest"

Your Success Starts Here Anyone interested in taking college classes or starting a new career is invited to "SuccessFest" Thursday, August 2 at Owens Community College.

Free career counseling and assessment testing will be offered, along with advising and registration for Fall classes. All new students who register for Fall classes at SuccessFest will receive a free parking permit for the semester.

SuccessFest will be 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. The Owens Toledo-area Campus is located on Oregon Road.

In addition, Owens is offering a SmartStart Orientation for students at 5-9 p.m. Thursday, August 2 or 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Augest 7 in the Audio/Visual Classroom Center on the Toledo-area Campus. Students will have the opportunity to learn about time management, academic skills and transfer services, as well as obtaining helpful information on Financial Aid, Disability Services, Academic Advising, the Counseling Center and more. Students also can earn the first two years of a bachelor's degree and then transfer to many area colleges and universities, such as Ohio State University, University of Michigan, Bowling Green State University, University of Toledo, Lourdes College and more.
