If you are a single head of your household or displaced homemaker and
want to give college a try, you may qualify for free tuition assistance
through Access Grants offered by Owens Community College.
Eligible recipients must be an Ohio resident pursuing an educational degree and have never attended Owens. The Access Grant, which is non-repayable, is available for one semester to prospective students enrolling in less than 12 credit hours.
Students who meet qualifications are awarded a part-time grant to cover the cost of tuition and fees. For example, a single parent with an income under $35,000 can receive up to 11 credit hours of free Owens tuition for one semester.
For more information or to see if you qualify, contact the Owens Financial Aid Office at (567) 661-7343 or 1-800-GO-OWENS, Ext. 7343 on the Toledo-area Campus. On the Findlay Campus, call (567) 429-3540.
