FINDLAY - The Owens Community College Findlay Campus in conjunction with the Salvation Army are coordinating a Food Drive to benefit families in the Findlay/Hancock County area this holiday season. The Food Drive is Tuesday and Wednesday, December 11-12.
Members of the community can bring canned and non-perishable food items to one of three Owens Findlay Campus locations. Marked bins will be placed in the College's Atrium and west wing. Boxes also will be located at the Owens Findlay Center for Development and Training (CDT), 1200 Commerce Parkway.
"This is a great opportunity for the faculty, staff and students at Owens Community College to work with the Findlay/Hancock County community and make a difference for individuals and families who are less fortunate," said Dr. Paul Brown, Dean of the Findlay Campus, who also is a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board.
"The Owens Findlay Campus is proud to assist the Salvation Army," he said. "We believe the donated items will help to brighten the holiday season for area families."
The Food Drive ends Wednesday evening. The donated canned and non-perishable food items then will be delivered to the Salvation Army for distribution in their holiday boxes.
