Are you considering enhancing your basic skills in English, math or employment skills? Sign up today for a free GED orientation at the Owens Community College's Workforce and Community Services Division, 1200 Commerce Parkway, Findlay.
Experienced teachers will provide a friendly, adult classroom atmosphere with small classes and personal attention. The four three-hour orientations will be Tuesday, March 12 and Thursday, March 14 from 6-9 p.m. Orientations also will be Monday, March 11 and Wednesday, March 13 at two different times. The morning session is 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The evening session is 6-9 p.m.
All students must attend two three-hour orientation meetings to register for classes. The GED classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, March 18 May 22. The morning session is 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The evening session is 6-8:30 p.m. Classes also will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 19 May 23 from 6-8:30 p.m.
Students who pass the GED pre-test offered by Owens will receive a voucher to take the GED test for free, saving $55.
The GED program is funded by the Ohio Department of Education through the Adult Basic and Literacy Education Programs.
