Owens Community College named Jennifer Fehnrich as the new Director of Public Relations and Marketing. Her responsibilities will include directing public relations efforts and developing and coordinating the College's advertising and marketing campaigns. She begins her new position at Owens on Monday, July 8.
"Jennifer brings energy and a strong enthusiasm for working with people that will serve Owens well as we continue to heighten the College's awareness through innovative public relations and marketing initiatives," said Gary Dettling, Owens Vice President of College Advancement.
Since June 1999, Fehnrich has been in a marketing/communications role with Dana Commercial Credit, a subsidiary of Fortune 500 Dana Corporation in Toledo. While at Dana, Fehnrich marketed a wide range of products to target audiences both domestically and internationally. She managed the creation of Internet and Intranet web sites, advertising campaigns, newsletters, press releases, multi-media projects and direct mail campaigns.
"I am extremely excited for the opportunity to help continue to showcase what Owens Community College has to offer to the community as a high quality educational institution," Fehnrich said. Prior to Dana, Fehnrich spent nearly six years in various positions with Poggemeyer Design Group, an architectural, engineering and planning firm located in Bowling Green. Her primary responsibilities included marketing various grant programs to government entities throughout the State of Ohio, as well as grant writing and implementation.
Fehnrich holds a bachelor's degree in communication from Bowling Green State University. Her professional involvement includes membership with the American Marketing Association, Business Marketing Association and the Association of Women in Communications. She also is a member of the Toledo Rowing Club.
A native of Port Clinton, Fehnrich now resides in Bowling Green.
