Want to learn the basics of the Spanish language or need to communicate in Spanish to meet your occupational needs? Sign up today for a two-day Command Spanish class that teaches basic greetings, etiquette, communication strategies and Spanish pronunciation at Owens Community College.
This class is offered through the College's Workforce and Community Services Division, 2249 Tracy Road, Northwood.
Experienced teachers will provide a friendly, adult classroom atmosphere with personal attention. The course meets 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday, August 6 and 8.
In addition, Command Spanish courses also are offered to businesses and organizations with occupational-specific needs. The class can be tailored to teach key commands, which are required to communicate with Spanish-speaking customers, employees, patients or clients.
There are 27 occupational-specific courses offered, which include for paramedics, firefighters, law enforcement officers, dental staff, teachers, bank tellers, restaurant staff, construction sites and automotive sales.
