FINDLAY - Are you considering enhancing your basic skills in English or math, or improving your employment skills? Sign up today for a free GED orientation at the Owens Community College Workforce and Community Services Division, 1200 Commerce Parkway, Findlay.
Experienced teachers will provide a friendly, adult classroom atmosphere with small classes and personal attention. Orientation sessions will be offered Monday and Wednesday, November 18 and 20 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Additional orientation sessions will be held Tuesday and Thursday, November 19 and 21 from 6-9 p.m.
All students must attend one of the orientation meetings to register for classes. The GED classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, November 25 - December 18. The morning session is 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The evening session is 6-9 p.m. Classes also will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, November 26 - December 19 from 6-9 p.m.
Students who pass the GED practice test offered by Owens will receive a voucher to take the GED test for free, saving $55.
The GED program is funded by the Ohio Department of Education through the Adult Basic and Literacy Education Programs.
