Owens Community College Hosts Golf Scramble October 6

Your Success Starts Here Owens Community College students will benefit from proceeds from the fifth annual Owens Express Classic Golf Scramble Saturday, October 6 at Whiteford Valley Golf Club. The public is invited for an exciting day of golf and fun.

The golf scramble begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The cost is $65 per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, a barbecue luncheon, beverages and a special gift. Owens students pay only $55 to golf. Any individual who registers after Friday, September 7 will pay $75.

All proceeds from the golf scramble will provide scholarship assistance to students who work in support of the athletic programs under the athletic director's guidance. Golfers participating in the Owens Express Classic will have the opportunity to meet the student-athletes, coaches and the athletics staff.

Whiteford Valley Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, is just five minutes north of Sylvania. Golfers may register for the scramble individually or as a foursome.
