Owens Soccer Hosts Mercyhurst Northeast in Home Opener

Your Success Starts Here Owens Community College men's soccer plays host to Mercyhurst Northeast Saturday, September 1 to open the 2001 season. Starting at 3 p.m., all home matches are played at the College's new Soccer Field.

Led by Head Coach Art Johnson, the Express return four players, including Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) leading goal scorer (23) Fabio Cardoso, to a squad which finished with a 6-13-3 record during the 2000 season. Now entering its fourth season as an Owens athletic program, the Express looks to improve upon a fourth place finish in the OCCAC.
