Interested student-athletes are invited to the open tryouts for the Owens Community College men's baseball team 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, July 13. Additional open tryouts are 4-6:30 p.m. August 6-8 at the College's Baseball Complex on the Toledo-area Campus, which is on Oregon Road located four miles from Downtown Toledo.
The Express finished the 2001-2002 season with a 22-26 overall record and look to improve upon a fourth place finish within the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC). During the 2002-2003 campaign, the Express will be led by first-year Head Coach Bob Schultz. The previous five seasons he handled the pitching rotation as an Express Assistant Coach under former Head Coach Rich Pivoriunas.
