Interested student-athletes are invited to the open tryouts for the Owens Community College women's softball team 10 a.m. 12 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Tryouts are at the College's Softball Complex on the Toledo-area Campus, which is on Oregon Road located four miles from Downtown Toledo.
This past year, the Express completed their season with a 36-9 overall record. The program captured the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) championship, finishing with 18-2 conference record. Led by Head Coach Mickey Arquette, the Express were ranked as high as No. 4 nationally in the NJCAA Division II Women's Softball poll and came within one win of advancing to the NJCAA National Championships.
