Free GED Orientation Offered at Owens Workforce and Community Services Division
Are you considering enhancing your basic skills in English or math, or improving your employment skills? Sign up today for a free GED orientation at the Owens Community College Workforce and Community Services Division, 2249 Tracy Road, Northwood.
Experienced teachers will provide a friendly, adult classroom atmosphere with small classes and personal attention. The orientation session will be offered on Saturday, July 12 from 12-3 p.m.
All students must attend the orientation meeting to register for classes. The GED classes will be held on Saturdays, beginning July 19. The first session is from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The second session is offered from 12-3 p.m.
Students who pass the GED practice test offered by Owens will receive a voucher to take the GED test for free, saving $55.
The GED program is funded by the Ohio Department of Education through the Adult Basic and Literacy Education Programs.
