Learn how to improve your scanning skills and digital camera capabilities, giving each snapshot a personal touch, as Owens Community College offers a Microsoft Picture It! 2000 with Digital Imaging and Scanner class on August 23.
The Digital Imaging and Scanner course will occur from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 23 at the College's Workforce and Community Services Division, located on Tracy Road in Northwood.
"Area residents interested in enrolling in the course will have the opportunity to learn more about their digital camera or scanner, allowing them to easily produce a wide range of projects using Microsoft Picture It! 2000," said Dick Hopkins, Owens Software Training Specialist. "This type of training will enable students to construct a special photo album or create personalized calendars, cards and stationary from a favorite collection of photos."
Hopkins added, "Microsoft Picture It! 2000 is a user-friendly and inexpensive software package. With just a few clicks of the mouse, anyone can transform ordinary snapshots into a work of art."
Although it is not necessary, attendees are encouraged to bring their own digital cameras to the course.
The registration fee for the class is $115, and course manuals are included. Microsoft Windows experience is required as a prerequisite for the course. For more information, or to register for the class, call (567) 661-7357 or 1-800-GO-OWENS, Ext. 7357.
