Owens Community College Faculty and Administration Tentatively Agree to a Contract Extension

Owens Community College and the Owens Faculty Association (OFA) wish to announce that they have tentatively agreed upon a two-year contract extension subject to approval by the Board of Trustees and the faculty membership group.

The OFA is scheduled to vote on the tentative contract extension from 2-6 p.m. on Monday, December 13 at the Findlay-area Campus and from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14 at the Toledo-area Campus. The College's Board of Trustees will be reviewing, and acting on, the tentative contract extension during its regularly scheduled meeting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14. Owens' Board of Trustees meeting will occur in Administration Hall.

The tentative contract extension provides for, retroactive to February 2004, a 5 percent increase to all bargaining unit members, with a 4 percent increase in February 2005.

Owens Community College is the fastest-growing higher educational institution in Ohio with 29 consecutive semesters of enrollment increases.
