Spring Faculty Art Exhibition Opens At Owens' Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery, Jan. 9 - Feb. 4

Owens Community College faculty members will have the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents as the Center for Fine and Performing Arts hosts the Faculty Art Exhibition, January 9 - February 4. The exhibition will be on display in the College's Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery.

"Owens' Center for Fine and Performing Arts is proud to feature exciting new works of art produced by our outstanding faculty members," said Wynn Perry, Owens adjunct faculty member who curates the Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery. "This exhibition will provide area residents and students with the chance to view various artistic expressions and celebrate the talent and diversity that the Center for Fine and Performing Arts' faculty exemplifies."

The art show features over 75 pieces of artwork created by more than 25 Owens faculty members. A wide range of visual media will be on display as a part of the Owens exhibit, including art pieces in the areas of photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting and drawing.

To celebrate the opening of the faculty show, a reception will be held on Friday, January 13 from 6-8 p.m. in the College's Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery.

Admission to the Walter E. Terhune Gallery is free and open to the public, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. For additional information about this exhibit or the College's 2005-06 Art Exhibition Season, contact the Center for Fine and Performing Arts at (567) 661-2721 or 1-800-GO-OWENS, Ext. 2721.
