As part of the World Languages Program, the Language Lab offers Owens Community College students a rich environment to enhance second language acquisition. Students may use the Language Lab to work on listening comprehension and speaking skills, as well as receptive and expressive skills for American Sign Language, to do research and writing or to participate in tutoring sessions with the Lab staff. There are computer workstations for access to Microsoft Office and online resources.
To complement the courses offered through the World Languages Program, the laboratory has textbook companion materials, dictionaries and CD-ROMs in ASL, German, Japanese and Spanish.
FREE language tutoring is available, as well as laboratory practice materials for language classes.
