Owens Community College has Registered Student Organizations from honors societies to special interest groups. Each organization is open to all students.
Don’t see something that fits your interests? Any student can start a new Registered Student Organization with the support of the Student Activities Office.

American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA)
The ADHA is a professional organization for students enrolled in the dental hygiene program at Owens.
Students in this organization participate in local, state and national events through the Toledo Dental Hygienists’ Association, the Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association and the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Black Student Union (BSU)
The purpose of BSU is to encourage and promote the academic, social and professional excellence of our members.

Phi Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa is the honor society for two-year colleges. We cover all majors and programs.
Membership is by invitation only. To receive an invitation you must be currently enrolled and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA with 12 credit hours earned.

Sexuality and Gender Activism (SAGA)
The official name of our organization is Sexuality and Gender Activism (SAGA). We represent the LGBTQQIAAP (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Allied, Asexual and Pan-Sexual) of our community.
Our purpose is to advocate and promote issues and causes involving the LGBTQQIAAP within the community, as well as to provide a supportive environment for our members.
We are expected to educate and advocate on behalf of others, on issues of discrimination and harassment based on gender, sexual orientation, as well as sexual identity.
Membership is open to anyone who abides and upholds Owens Community College’s registered student organization purpose and constitution. Full membership is restricted to undergraduate students of Owens Community College who are enrolled in at least six credit hours within the current semester. Associate members are graduate students, faculty, staff and community members.
We are a family and wherever we are is a safe zone, discrimination of any form is not tolerated.

Sound Professionals
Provides an opportunity for students in Diagnostic Medical Sonography to become involved in the community by volunteering and fundraising to help offset the costs of attending professional development seminars.

Student Occupational Therapy Association
Members participate in Occupational Therapy events at the local, state and national levels and take part in various community service opportunities. Members advocate for the profession of occupational therapy throughout the community.

Toledo Alpha Delta Nu, Pi Chapter
The purpose of the Pi Chapter Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society is to recognize the academic excellence of students in the study of Associate Degree Nursing.
Students are considered for membership after two semesters in the nursing program if they have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and a grade of B or better in each nursing class. The student must also demonstrate integrity and professionalism on campus and in clinicals.
Pi Chapter was activated September 25, 2012 by the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing.
Both the Toledo-area and Findlay-area Campuses have active memberships.

The Owens Toledo SNA is an organization of nursing students with an interest in health promotion and community service. Academic opportunities and networking are available through conference attendance and potential state and national participation.
