Visiting Students

Visiting students are those interested in attending Owens for a short period of time and are considered non-degree seeking. There are two types of visiting students: transient and guest. Transient students are those who are enrolled at another accredited college or university and intend to apply their Owens Community College credits to a degree from their home institution. Guest students are those who are taking a limited number of courses for credit or personal interest.

Summer Sessions

Summer classes are offered in sessions consisting of 5 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks in length, and most classes begin Monday, May 19 or Monday, June 2. See the class schedule for specific course start dates.

Dates for Summer 2015

  • Monday, May 18, 2015 -- First 5 week and 10 week classes begin
  • Monday, May 25, 2015 -- Holiday ~ College closed
  • Monday, June 15, 2015 -- 8 week classes begins
  • Monday, June 22, 2015 -- Last 5 week classes begins
  • Friday, July 3, 2015 -- Holiday ~ College closed
  • Friday, August 7, 2015 -- Last day of classes
