Advanced Ceramics
This class will focus on helping students define their aesthetic interest and integrating it into the creative practice. We will focus on fine-tuning your wheel throwing and hand building skills. Learn new surfacing and glazing techniques will also be covered. All work is cone 6 oxidation fired. All supplies are included in the course fee and students typically make 10 pieces which are yours to take home at the end of class. This is class for intermediate people who've had clay experience. Class is held in the Center for Fine & Performing Arts building.

Bird Houses - Ceramics Workshop
Build a fun, funky, colorful birdhouses in this workshop! These will be built with templates and constructed with textured slabs. Explore and layer color and pattern to fit your style. Wearable Art: Jewelry Ceramics Workshop
In this workshop you will learn how to stain our porcelain clay body with mason stains and make ceramic wearables. There is no previous experience with clay or jewelry needed. We will be using clay cutters and experimenting with stamps, slip trailing, decals and high fire kanthal wire. The second class we will meet for one hour to assemble our pieces and take home. All materials and supplies are included in course fee. This class will be held in our Ceramics Studio located in the Center for Fine & Performing Arts building on our Perrysburg campus.
