Jeremy Meier, the Owens Creative Arts and Media chair, will present his original one-man show as Charlie Chaplin, the first celebrity filmmaker in America, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts theater.

In this one-hour program, Meier plays Chaplin and share stories from a life in vaudeville and on the silent screen. Meier also tells what happened when Chaplin made his first talking picture, a satire on Hitler and Nazism during a time the United States was staying publicly neutral regarding conflict in Europe.

Costuming for this performance is by Nichole Newman. Check out this new program which recently toured in South Carolina and will head to San Francisco and Colorado later this year!
